The Florida Aquarium is a true asset to all who own Florida homes. It is well worth the trek from any part of the state, but Tampa real estate owners have it the best because it is right in their own backyard. There is much more to this aquarium than just exhibits, although it does have a long list of awesome creatures to see. Children can run off some energy at the 2-acre outdoor water adventure zone where kids can play with things like water canons, climb on a pirate ship, and wait to get soaked by a geyser all while their parents relax in the shade. Many guests also enjoy the educational shows that happen at the aquarium each day. There is a great Coral Reef show, a chance to meet many animals up close and personal on the Florida Wetlands Trail, and many more to choose from. Over 20,000 creatures live at the aquarium and are available for viewing each visit. Get to know river otters, sharks, sea stars, and many other sea animals that are native to Florida as well as many from around the world.
Visit for a day or consider a membership. Also keep an eye out for special events happening at the aquarium. One fun event coming up on October 16, 2015 from 8 until 11 p.m. is Brews by the Bay. Guests have the opportunity to sample more than 100 beers while snacking on food prepared by dozens of local restaurants. All of this while listening to live music and in the company of majestic sea creatures. This event is just one reason of many to check out The Florida Aquarium.
