Live in St. Petersburg and go to the museum. If you live in St. Petersburg with kids, you’ll want to plan a day to visit Great Explorations Children’s Museum. The museum houses a wealth of exhibits to engage, entertain, and educate children from preschool to upper elementary school. Children are invited to play and pretend at BellaBrava Pizza Kitchen, Explorer’s Cove, and the Imagination Playground. Fit4AllKidsVille teaches kids about good nutrition, fitness, and safety with games, a fitness zone, and the Dance Dance Revolution.

Great Explorations hosts a preschool for kids ages two to five who live in St. Petersburg. School aged kids can come for summer camp or shorter camps when school is out. There is also a great afterschool program, with snacks, fun activities, and homework help. The museum is also the perfect place to throw a birthday party. Each month there is a Parents Night Out. Kids ages four to 10 can enjoy supervised games, a G-rated movie, pizza, and juice. Parents get to have a night to themselves!

Come to explore the regular exhibits or for one of the special events. The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for people from 1 to 54; $9 for those 55 and older; and free for babies under a year old. Visit Great Explorations to find out more about exhibits and membership options.
